Contrary to what my late date post might imply, I really am excited to bring you this Airwear feature!
I’m still waiting for my lenses to get here which is why my post is being written past the deadline. So…once my lenses arrive, I will blog again, sharing the personal touch (and a really cool story to go along). Perhaps I’ll even post a pic of myself, wearing my new glasses
(My husband laughed out loud when he saw the frames I purchased to send in. He thinks the frames are very RETRO/70′s style – I love them!).
For today, I’ll simply post information about this great new option in eyewear:
Airwear provides a unique combination of benefits that make it the ideal choice for today’s active lifestyles and provide you with superior comfort and performance.
Airwear lenses are 43% lighter and 10 times more impact resistant than standard plastic lenses, so they have the lightness and strength you need in a lens while also providing the enhanced comfort and cosmetic appearance you desire.
Airwear is a polycarbonate lens—which is the same material used to make CDs, DVDs and bulletproof glass. Airwear lenses are not only lighter in weight and thinner than traditional plastic lenses, they also offer scratch-resistance, ultraviolet protection and are very impact-resistant.
In fact, weight/lightness was rated as the most important quality of a lens in a recent consumer survey.†
