When I think about vanities the word "vain" always comes to mind :-) I also think about my grandmothers and the old houses they lived in - full of tradition, memories of hard times that were overcome and...antique vanities. I do like the idea of some day owning an antique-style vanity that could be passed down to my own daughter - full of memories, trinkets in the drawers and a deep connection to home. Dark wood is my favorite and my husband agrees. We love books and have thousands upon thousands of them. Our dream is to one day own a home office full of dark wood furniture, books covering the walls and a big leather chair to sit on.
