Tip #1:

Begin tweeting BEFORE you have bunches of followers. I don’t follow back those who try to gain tons of followers before even tweeting.

Sign up at mrtweet.com and wefollow.com

Tip #3:

To learn more about hashtags & search hashtags, visit a site like hashtags.org

Tip #4:

DO NOT simply tweet updates or sales pitches. Reply to others, ask questions, engage & interact. Otherwise followers will drop you.

Tip #5:

Be patient. Everything good takes time. It took me about 5 months to really get established on twitter. Don’t feel the need to rush.

Tip #6:

To shorten your links go to either budurl.com or tinyurl.com. They can also track the clicks for you!

Tip #7:

To see who is following you that you are not following back & vice versa: friendorfollow.com

Tip #8:

Be willing to learn from others. Don’t assume you know it all (on twitter or in life). Watch, learn and grow.

Tip #9:

Mix up resources, quotes, concepts, ideas, offers and sales pitches. Don’t do ONE of those. Combo up and you’ll do much better here.

Tip #10:

Fundraising does well on twitter according to stats. Read from others who have succeeded there & learn what they did right.

Tip #11:

If twitter is overwhelming you, step back. Set up a schedule & stick to that. M/W/F or 8-10, etc. Whatever works for you.

Tip #12:

Don’t worry about those who un-follow you. Focus on the HERE & NOW. That is what matters on twitter & in life…

Don’t go around following everyone under the sun. Follow people you WANT to follow. The rest will come in time.
